El Said Court # 28
El Said Court was founded in 1929 when our first High Priestess Lady Pearl Helfert was installed in the East.
We have been supporting the philanthropy of the Elf Khurafeh Shrine in their endeavor to help maintain Shriners' Childrens (AKA Shriners' Hospitals for Children) throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
We have many activities throughout the year to benefit the hospitals, our Grand High's project, the Elf Khurafeh transportation fund and court operations.

Past Fundraisers
Battery Drive, Toy March, Mystery Dinner, Bake Sale/Bake-less Bake Sale, Auction, Warrior Dash, Ice Cream Social, iPad opportunity to own, Ugly Duckling Ball, Senior Golf outings, craft sales, as well as many other activities.

Grand High Priestess' Projects
Every year, the Grand High chooses a special project that is aimed at helping the children at a hospitals. Samples of previous projects include:
- Outdoor Rehabilitation Terrace at the Shriners for Children Medical Center in Pasadena CA
- Out and About which aimed to purchase equipment for each SHC location that can help patients get "out and about" on family outings. This included specially designed car seats, strollers and wagons. (2021-22)
- A Year of Rehabilitation was to support hospital programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy, psychiatric therapy to help a child manage pain, post-traumatic stress and depression and recreational therapy which includes art, aquatic, pet and horticulture approaches. (2018-19)
Elf Khurafeh Shrine's Transportation
The Elf Khurafeh transportation fund provides transportation, food and lodges for patients and families seeking care at either hospital in Dayton OH or Chicago IL. gas, and maintenance of the vans/buses that are used to take children and their family back and forth to the hospitals.
